Nicely balanced. Nuanced. Front palate is marvelous, sugar cookies w a caramel drizzling. Nice mouthfeel. Finish is ok, but it's the weak spot of this pour. Overall a fun bottle but at $85 I'd like a deeper finish.
About this bottle
Fortuna is a Kentucky bourbon brand which was originally founded in the late 1800s and last bottled in the 1950s. The brand has since been revived by the folks behind the Rare Character Whiskey, a purveyor of American whiskey with the first new bottles of Fortuna hitting the market in 2022. In addition to recreating the label and bottles, the bourbon itself aims to be a recreation of the original at its peak in the 1800s. It's made in small (six barrel) batches as a blend of Kentucky straight bourbons aged 6 years. It's bottled at 102 proof and is available for purchase online at Seelbach.com and at KLWines.com as of September 2022.

Nose: Caramel, Sweet oak Palate: The caramel and oak carry through before trnasitioning to baking spices Finish: Short-Medium but clean A solid MTR pour, promising but to me nothing that stands out.
Great balance of spice and sweetness. Spicy cinnamon and gooey melted caramel with oak. Drinks great at 102 proof on the rocks.
Solid full bourbon, sweet and caramel, sweet cinnamon finish, little hot but easy
Rounding up a little, but dang this is solid
Lovely flavor. Sweet and caramelly.
