This Grande Champagne cognac comes from Frapin, a veteran cognac producer and wine-grower. Made from a blend aged for roughly 10 years in French Limousin oak barrels. It is sold in a reproduction of a 16th century bottle.

Frapin VSOP is an excellent example of French cognac. It smells extremely noble, it tastes like you swallow a grape bubble and then it bursts. Soft and delicate. You can take it with confidence. Really great product! I'm bid fan of generative AI so adding picture generated by it))
Golden copper color. Faint citrus rind and vanilla on nose. Drinks like a smooth, dry Scotch that veers subtly away from pear flavors towards that of grapes. As quite possibly the first Cognac I’ve ever tasted, I expected more sweetness and a bolder flavor profile. 3.65.

Pours dark amber with sweet stone fruit on the nose. Taste is similar to the nose with a prominent floral influence. Finish is medium long with a touch of heat. This is a very nice sipper akin to Hardy Legend but not as sweet.
I wanted the XO and got delivered this. When life offers you lemons you..eat them I guess? I did and I prefer lemons. Not a great cognac.
