Nose: Green grapes, apricot and oak Palate: Sweet and fruity with little hints of spice. Pear tarte tatin. Finish: Instantly evolves from sweet fruit to oaky champagne. Eventually goes back to the caramelized pear flavour. The length is very impressive. I'm not sure I've experienced such an instant contrast from the palate to the finish in any spirit before. It's rather impressive and a bit mind boggling. I'm still relatively new in the world of Cognac but this is easily the most complex one I've tried so far.

An elegant, Brandy from Cognac, France made from 100% Ugni Blanc; aged in lightly toasted Limousin oak barrels from 2-12 years. It is named for the year in which the Hardy Distillery was founded. It has a delicate & floral birth with notes of cappuccino, vanilla & a hint of citrus zest; while an elegant life adds notes of café latte, orange marmalade & jasmine; that leads to an off-dry death of medium length. December 2019
Dark copper on the pour. Nose is dominated by alcohol with a hint of raisin. Taste is raisin and fig with a slight burn. Medium mouthfeel and long finish. This has a pretty strong flavor for a cognac. The raisin/fig notes remind me of Cardenal Mendoza but not as intense. I thought there was a little too much burn for the price point. Even though it is not your atypical cognac flavorwise, it is solid overall brandy.
Nose after 15+ rest: heavy brown sugar, caramel, raisin, fig. Butter and vanilla. Walnut. Taste yields a medium to dark caramel, chocolate, nutty, raisin, clove and spice. Very pleasant. Moderate length finish
Lovely nose with dark dry fruit, honey. Well balanced body with alot of caramel and coffee notes on a medium long finish
Dark fruit, brown sugar, coffee. Very nice after dinner cognac.
