Planteray Cut & Dry Coconut Rum is a 100% Barbadian rum made with locally sourced coconut. The white flesh is cut and dried before infusing in Barbados rum with one coconut used per 1L of rum. Formerly known as Plantation, the brand name was updated to Planteray to pay homage to the sugarcane plant and the rays of the sun which help the plant to ripen and grow. Launching in January 2024, Cut & Dry is the first release under the new name. Available in the US, UK, France and the Caribbean. (SRP $35)

Aroma is 100% fresh & naturally sweet coconut meat! Really nice. Wow, tastes like fresh coconut as well! If you're looking for a premium coconut rum for cocktails then this is it. Not overly sweet, tastes like fresh coconut milk but not overpowering, and not high-proofed to be let down by alcohol burn. I really like the Selva Rey Coconut, but this is a touch better. Nuff said, this is it. Rating based on neat sipping.

Initially smells like shredded coconut out of a package from the grocery plus a hint of brown sugar. Tastes of molasses and shredded coconut. Bitter on the finish.
