They are offered at the distillery and at select retailers and feature the distillery's four grain mash bill, each of which are grown on the ranch: non-GMO corn, winter cereal rye, winter wheat and 2-row barley. The bourbon is aged at least five years in full sized 53-gallon American white oak. The single barrels range in proof from 120-137 proof.

Neat. Neck pour. I don’t know much about Frey Ranch other than the fact that they farm and distill. I believe organic grain too. This is a single barrel pick from Blackwell’s. I believe the Mashbill is four grain too. Digging the nose on first impression. I don’t know the age but it doesn’t come off as young. It’s very bright and fruity. Apple and peaches. Nice layer of caramel and a hint of chocolate. Flaky pie crust browned and buttered. There is definitely a lot of grain to this, I don’t mean that as being young but as just being surrounded by different grains at the distillery. There is something relaxing and comforting about this smell. Like a lilac or lavender even. Like it would make a really good candle. I’m impressed so far. Hoping the taste matches this. Super oily, rich mouthfeel. Definitely brings a lot of nice flavor! Nice finish too. Very light and bright on the tongue on first approach. Sweet, apple. Hint of caramel. Mid palate is a bit darker. Hits with baking spices that escalates into these rich caramels, vanilla, and chocolate. Starting to get more apple towards the finish, even the peaches. The floral is really coming out too. Blind this could get confused with a barrel strength Four Roses, but I like this better. Maybe way better. This is dangerously easy to drink at 122 proof. There is nothing stereotypically crafty about this. This is a secret hitter. As I sit with it, the floral aspects are escalating. I just finished a 2 ounce pour and want to explore it more. The glass still smells amazing!

Nose: This is some really distinct stuff. Very herbal and earthy, roses, cucumber, watermelon, lavender, spice. There's a lot of complexity in the nose there. Alcohol is totally hidden. Taste: WOAH. This is so refreshing. Fruit bowl. Raspberry, citrus, juicy cantaloupe, freshness all around. There's a hint of bread or something similar. This is really tasty stuff, really distinct, totally unique. Finish: Right in the back of the throat, not as strong down the esophagus. It's warm but nowhere near it's proof. Flavors swirl around in the mouth for a while. Overall: This is stellar bourbon. Like, phenomenal stuff to bring out for close friends at the right time. Idk what to compare it to. Big thanks to Randy!

I tried two of these, Bourbon Life and Liquor World. Both were excellent, but quite different. Bourbon Life was oakier with caramel and vanilla flavors. It had a strong grain flavor too, but not offensive and turned fruity on the finish after it had time to breathe a bit. The Liquor World had more fruit across the nose and palate and tasted older and more well rounded; what I think of in a typical bourbon. Very impressed!

Nose: caramel, vanilla, brown sugar. Smells like a Werther‘s candy. So much butterscotch 👏🏿👏🏿 Palate: Caramel, vanilla and peanut. Taste like that candy part of the peanut brittle. This is delicious. Finish: at 135.22 proof it has this long Kentucky hug. Overall: my bottle is a someone say whiskey bourbon club pick. 4.5/5 this is amazing.

Been trying to get my hands on this stuff for some time. One the nose there's caramel, brown sugar, and rye. On the palate it's pretty smooth for 129 proof with vanilla, chocolate, spicy rye, and brown sugar. The finish is decently long and warming. Great stuff from Frey Ranch!
