Glenfarclas 2009 (botteled 2016) (cask 1805) Drinks by the Dram Whisky

A rich, single cask Speyside malt was bottled at a hearty natural cask strength & distilled in 2009; it was bottled in August 2016. It has an aromatic birth with notes of brown sugar, damson, tomatoes on the vine, hot cross buns with dried fruit in the dough, a hint of fragrant barley & varnished oak; while a rich life adds notes of Christmas cake, honey-nut cereal with milk, ginger snaps, grilled banana, stroopwafel, raisins & currants; that led to a long & rich death with notes of honey, ginger & apples.
