Underrated. The smoky, woody at nose, then completely smoky at mouth and a hint of peppermint. Spicy but dont burn, straightforward smoky but not intense. It is very grounded. Rest for a bit: ink Dilute with one drop of water for 1oz, it is so genteel that it almost gets peaty without the rubbles or thr kick. It’s a temperature. No ethanol in taste; ethanol is s temp. It’s cold and frisky, smoky. Almond core might be a bit but a pecan apple pie is more accurate.
Glenkinchie 2008 Distillers Edition (Bottled 2020)
About this bottle
Diageo's Distillers Edition collection features some of the brand's prominent distilleries. They are made by taking a core bottling from the distillery featured as the base and giving it a secondary fortified wine maturation. For the second maturation, bespoke barrels are created with recharred American oak bodies and charred cask heads made from new American oak. These casks are filled with the fortified wine for a month and then dumped. Then the core offering from one distillation year rests for up to six month. This bottling is made with Glenkinchie 12 Year distilled in 2008 and the wine here is amontillado sherry.

I like the lowland Scotch. It’s much smoother and lacks the peaty flavor of other Scotch. I only wish this were available locally in the U.S.
Fruit, light oak, with a powdery taste. Very mild but still has some ethanol present. I was a bit disappointed.
Tasted good. Seth had it.
Raisins, croissants chalk
