Hartman's Experimental Series 6 (Straight bourbon finished in French cerise liqueur barrel)

The nose starts with charred oak, spicy cherry, fruit sweetness, vanilla and touches of rye spice bouncing it out. It is a very pleasant blend of bourbon and cherry coming together very well to compliment each other. The palate is gentle and smooth with a great mix of chart oak and spicy cherry, all sticking mostly to the front of the mouth. Vanilla and rye spice come in behind all in equal quantities. The flavor is indeed good but could probably benefit from being at a higher proof, as things come off as maybe a bit 2 mild. The finish is medium and leaves the mouth tingling as chart oak and spicy cherry fade away.
