The nose is quite gentle, yet offers a slight burst of floral rye spice alongside charred oak. Citrus, molasses, white pepper and a slight creamy notes round it out. The palate has a touch of rye spice that coats the mouth along with pepper and charred oak. There is a slight chew that brings out the sweet and creamy notes. The finish is medium long with a lingering astringent spice and also has a bit of a chew. Oak tannins fade in the background. Fairly simple but offers enough spice and oak to make it a pleasant but basic whiskey to sip on.
