A woody, American Whiskey by Bob Dylan in collaborate with Master Blender Ryan Perry and Marc Bushala for Heaven's Door Distillery in Tennessee crafted with their already-aged 6-year whiskey in an alligator charred, new American oak for an additional 6 months before being bottled at 100 proof. It has an aromatic birth with notes of grains, wood, fruits, herbs & spices; while a rich & spicy life adds notes of baked peaches, cornmeal, Cracker Jacks, dried berries, marzipan, vanilla custard & butterscotch; that led to a warm & woody death of medium length with notes of toasted oak, dark chocolate, leather, shortbread biscuits with clove & cinnamon.
Heaven's Door Revelation Double Barrel Whiskey
About this bottle
Bob Dylan and the Heaven's Door team have given a name to their core whiskeys. Here, Revelation is a blend of three different whiskeys, each one aged in new oak barrels for at least 6 years. The whiskeys are blended together and then finished in custom 59-gallon heavily toasted American oak barrels for 6 additional months. It's then bottled at 50% ABV. The core portfolio is also getting a refresh with new labels highlighting Dylan's iron metalworks. Announced in July 2023, Revelation will begin to hit shelves nationwide in the following weeks. Flaviar Advent 2025 #23. Clear bright golden body thin legging. Spicy fruit toffee caramel vanilla aroma. Nutty earthy fruit vanilla caramel flavor. Medium body moderate warming. 8/4/8/4/16 4.0
At first sip, I wasn’t too sure about Revelation but the more I drank, the more I enjoyed it. Multiple flavors with just the right amount of oak. Very well crafted whiskey, a worthy sip.
Interesting flavor, with a bit of heat. Buttery cinnamon sniff with a slight fig flavor and toffee bits. Not exceptionally smooth and an ok sipper
Amber color, toasted oak aroma, nice legs on the glass. Very smooth that caramel and very light maple, vanilla and cherry on the finish.
Best of the Heaven’s Door products. Some caramel flavors but ends a little hot.
