High West Bourbon is a blend of straight bourbon whiskeys aged a minimum of two years. The disclosed mash bill recipes used are 75% corn, 21% rye, 4% malted barley from Indiana's MGP Distillery and 84% corn, 8% rye, 8% malted barley from another distillery. Other straight bourbons are included but that information is contractually not disclosed. It is non-chill filtered and is bottled at 92 proof. Please note: High West Bourbon is the same bourbon as the previously known High West American Prairie Bourbon, but the name and the packaging were updated in 2022.

Nose: sweet like butterscotch, buttered toast or pumpernickel bread, minty Palate: bready and not overly complex Finish: not spicy and drinks to the proof Overall: I think High West puts out a really good product. It’s available everywhere and affordable. I try to keep their lineup on the shelf.
Got this as a gift through a High West box set. This actually wasn't half bad. So easy to drink. Smooth with a slight warming heat. Not much complexity. But I enjoyed the honey on the nose that led to hints of cornbread, caramel, and subtle rye spice on the palate.

Honey, apple, baking spices, with a rye backbone and bourbon sweetness. Touch of lemon zest lingering in the aftertaste. Lovely, lovely bourbon. Perfect for fall. Also a tiny bit of smoke which is awesome.
Nose is roses. Caramel. Sugar. Body is cherries, vanilla, syrup. Finish is mint, cinnamon, baking spices. Bit of chocolate. Very juicy body, very enjoyable bourbon. Reminiscent of 1792, in a good way.
