Aroma - big oak and dark fruits come forward as the primary players here. Caramel, vanilla beans, and even light citrus notes come in as secondary notes. As it opens up… more bright red fruits come forward. Taste - follows the nose but much more red fruits than dark. Overall - at $100. This is pretty damn good and priced right. But i cannot recommend the purchase above this price. 4.65 **** Comparing OWA 107 to this side by side.. this JR7 is superior in all aspects. It noticeably darker in appearance …The nose is damn near identical but just so much more pronounced. Everything is bolder and brighter. The palate is superior as well. The oils seem to last longer drawing out the finish and it feels heavier too. Again, this is OWA just so much more bold.
