Hillrock Solera Aged Bourbon (Roc Elite Pepe Le Pew)

The nose starts off with a great mix of wine sweetness, vanilla, oak and touches of ripe fruit. The solera process is very evident right off the bat, offering up great nuances. Pineapple comes out along with a bit of marshmallow, really hyping this up to be something tasty. The palate is a bit dry and chewy, yet fills the mouth with wine sweetness, black pepper and oak. Soft notes of vanilla and brown sugar come out, along with some tannic notes. This is very rich and doesn't require much complexity. It has a great depth of flavor that more than speaks for itself. The finish is medium long with wine sweetness and creamy oak that gently fade. There is a nice dryness to it as well, it is almost as if this is simplistically complex. Great flavor, great finish, exquisite.
