Classic Canadian whiskey. Rye, spice, with a milder ‘burn’ to it than some other ‘bottom shelf’ whiskeys. Bit of fruit, apple in the body, finish isn’t too harsh at all!
About this bottle
Hiram Walker moved from America to Canada and established the Hiram Walker & Sons Distillery in 1858. Today they are one of the largest distilleries (if not the largest) in North America, and produce 180,000 litres of vodka, rum, and whisky each day. Only available in Canada, Walker's Special Old is a rye whisky bottled at 80-proof.

Much better than the bottom shelf price suggests. It may be thought of as a mixer, but it’s surprisingly complex as a sipper. Nice stuff, and I LOVE the retro 1970s bottle.
Pros: smooth. Cons: It ain't no real whiskey, just an alcoholic beverage with a hint of whiskey and no aftertaste whatsoever.
My second favorite Canadian whisky, very smooth and enjoyable. Very cost efficient in this day and age is a bonus.
Nagyon jó illat, kicsit karcos
