Citrus and perfume on the nose with subtle note of chocolate. Decently heavy burn and linger adds to the full flavor. Chocolate gets the full treatment in the first sip with black pepper rounding out the experience. I like this one over other Hochatown products. Ice softens burn and linger and makes this more enjoyable and more likely to be an evening sipper.
About this bottle
This is a straight bourbon made from a mash bill of corn, rye, and malted barley that is matured a minimum 3 years. It is selected from specific barrels in the warehouse for their flavor profile to differ from the distillery's flagship Straight Bourbon. It is also bottled at a higher proof — 104.

I’ve never heard of this bourbon and a friend of mine had a bottle. I’m always excited to try bourbons I’ve never heard of. My reviews are usually pretty thorough but for this pour, I’m not a fan, plain and simple. Not with the high price, sad taste, and the finish was short. Sadly enough, this would be a drain pour for me.
