About this bottle

Hudson Whiskey New York Straight Bourbon is pot-distilled with a mash bill recipe of 95% corn and 5% malted barley. Notably, the grains were sourced from local farmers in the Hudson Valley and the bourbon is Kosher certified. It's aged for a minimum of 5 years in American oak barrels and is bottled at 46% ABV. This limited edition release is just the second age stated whiskey from Hudson Whiskey. Available in the US beginning June 2023. (SRP $49.99)

A lot of wood on the nose, with the oak giving a fresh-cut oak and medium char aroma. On the palate, things are tight, and solidly in the arena of a classic Straight Bourbon. Some light baking spice, reticent sweetness, medium cask char and a heavier mouthfeel. This almost tastes like a barrel proof expression, and can easily handle a decent splash of branch water or a few rocks. A solid addition to the portfolio.
