Ide & Stills Irish Whiskey

Ide & Stills Blended Irish Whiskey is an intense, Blended Irish Whiskey by Royal Oak Distillery in County Carlow, Ireland crafted with grain from County Wexford; that is milled, malted, fermented for 60+ hours, triple distilled & aged in ex-bourbon barrels for up to 5 years. It has an aromatic birth with notes of tropical fruits & flowers, grains, wood & spices; a rich life adds notes of banana, coconut & sweet toffee; that leads to a long & intense death of banana scented nail polish remover, potpourri & perfume. N: slight ethanol/paint fume off the cuff and take a moment to gas off, has touches of honey, orchard fruits of pear and apple, cereal grain, baking spices, nutmeg, fairly simple and lacks depth. T: honey and fruit, barrel spices, peppery finish that has a little alcohol bite. Ok for scotch and soda but would be better as a mixer.

It has a clear, amber appearance. The aroma is of a bit of oak and pale grains. The flavor is of sugar cream, vanilla, and mild oak. The body is light, and it finishes dry. RJT
