About this bottle

The Baczewski family first set up a distillery in the city of Lwow in 1782. By 1810, they had received the prestigious mark of the Imperial Eagle from the Austrian Empire. The family would continue to produce spirits until World War II. Following the war, Eduard Gessler, an Austrian producer of spirits, acquired the Baczewski brand and began producing their products at his distillery in Vienna. Today the distillery still produces Baczewski brand products, including J.A. Baczewski dry gin. Unlike other gins, this expression is made with a base spirit triple distilled from potatoes. Seven botanicals - juniper berries, coriander, aniseed, ginger, dill, and orange and lemon peel - are then added to produce the final product. Winner of a Gold Medal at the 2014 World Spirits Awards, this gin is bottled at 43.5% ABV.

wiadukcik 3.5

This is a simple, well-rounded London Dry gin, that is easy to mix and match for most basic cocktails. It comes at a very good quality/price ratio, from a recently resurrected pre-WWII distinguished Polish vodka maker.

wojciech nowacki 4.3

Considering it is potato spirit, it is unique and perfectly standard at the same time. Simply juniper, strong forest notes and ideal strength.
