The carmel and oak are prevalent on the nose, as is a hint of ethanol that belies the 4 or 5 year age. The carmel and oak carry over on the palate with an almost rye pepper note. It is a bit hotter than some major “wheaters”, but definitely not excessively hot. This is a viscous sipper that would hold up well in a simple highball or cocktail for those who like to dilute whiskey.

Notes of Carmel and Oak to the nose and to the taste with hits of sugar and vanilla.. A robust mouth feel that is smooth with enough spice to hold up if used with a soda mixer. This bourbon was a national favorite before probation now being resurrected with it's original recipe and original label. Made in Augusta County, Virginia.
