BARREL SERIAL NO. // 248 BOTTLE NO. // 16 PROOF // 121.7 ALC/VOL % // 60.85 HAND SELECTED BY // Spec’s NEAT NOSE - The nose starts off pretty tight with lots of barrel char and dark brown sugar. I added two drops of water and the nose opened up with more caramel but the brown sugar remained a dark brown sugar. A dark cherry note also springs forward after adding the water. PALATE - Nice, viscous mouthfeel. There is an explosion of dark brown sugar and oak on the palate without water. With just two drops of water, the oak is dialed back and the caramel shines through more along with vanilla. FINISH - Long, bold. Full of a combination of oak, caramel, and vanilla. BUY? - Absolutely. The pour tends to evolve into sweeter and lighter flavors as water is added/exposed to air so I’m sure this will evolve wonderfully over time. BUY AGAIN? - Absolutely, no question.

Specs pick barrel 248, bottle number 29, 121.7 proof (60.85 abv) Unique starting note as i get milk chocolate, caramel, slight prune, salted caramel, moderate oak, then some almondy/walnut notes where the finish bring some of the sweet chocolate, oak and great savory baking spice that is long in duration. This is a seriously unique and incredible whiskey that most bourbon guys would find very pleasant. The amount of flavour tht is produced simply from a single grain rice whiskey is unbelievable. Would highly reccomend grabbing if given the opportunity!
Barrel 191 Bottle 90 Proof 122.5 SLB DRINKS selection This bottle is something else. The nose has notes of fudge. Vanilla. Fig. Oatmeal cookie. Sweet and desset like. It continues on the palette. Chocolate and apple. The finish lingers with an almost chocolate syrup quality. It's probably the easiest drinking 122 proof I've ever had. Dangerously good.
