I travel to Arizona a lot, and every time will go to Santan Distillery to do their tour and try their whisky. Its nice to outsiders to the bourbon field to make a name for themselves in the Kentucky tradition. Nose: I get a smooth oaky smell like a deep burning forest at a char level of 3. There are some notes of vanilla as well, adding to a balance start. Front: A light floral front and a spice to it too. Not much else to say. Finish: It ends with a dark fruit finish, and a rye finish. I think this Bottle in Bond has a different flavor to it. You’d expect a heavier punch with a 50% bottle, but this has a cleaner taste with a higher proof, and remains clean with that higher proof. 7.5/10
