Jefferson's 18 Year Presidential Select

Jefferson's Presidential Select 18 Year Old 1991 Release A balanced, Straight Bourbon Whiskey by Kentucky Artisan Distillery 'distilled from wheat in the fall of 1991, & aged in Stitzel-Weller Barrels, aged for 18 years & bottled in numbered batches. It has a delicate birth with notes of biscuit & fruit; while a woody life adds notes of oak, wheat & hint of smoke; that led to a quick & candied death with notes of rye, port & honey. September 2018 / January 2019 / August 2022

Unsure on the date of this bottling, 2014 or earlier. The nose makes wonderful promises, but it completely falls apart on the palate and the finish. There's some sweet oak that disappears rapidly and you're left with faintly bourbon flavored water.

Wanted to love this pour. Do not get me wrong there were no flaws, just nothing jumped out on the nose, pallet or finish. Definitely a quality whiskey that is good, not great. I prefer the 16 year if comparing the 2
