Nose: starts off with some wonderfully lite herbal and floral notes, along with some cream covered berries - let's you know this is a high rye right off the bat, but hints at more to come Palate: the cream coolness comes out at the front but quickly gives way spice and herbal notes - is unfortunately a bit thin Finish: the pepper spice stays for the finish but fades rather quickly - does not leave much of an impression Overall: fairly disappointing offering for the Harvest Series, Thank goodness others in the vertical make up for this one.
About this bottle
From Jim Beam's Signature Craft line comes the Harvest Bourbon Collection, a series of six unique bourbons experimenting with different grains with each offering in the series being eleven years old. The Signature Craft High Rye Bourbon was distilled before the current rye whiskey craze had taken off. For fans of rye-forward whiskey, this bottling is a classic high-rye bourbon whiskey. Keep in mind, the $49.99 suggested retail is for a 375ml bottle.

Big rye spice, hotter than its 11 years and 90 proof would suggest. If you find this for the price I did do not pass it up. Got it for 9.99 on clearance at my local favorite bottle shop. Wish I had bought both, one to savor.
Strong nose, with fruit, baking spice, leather. On the palate, smooth, with sour fruit, cinnamon, turpentine. Sweetness, but also an astringent rye note. Cacao nibs on the backend. 1/19/19
Nice aroma. The pepper of the rye is front and center. I liked it but at the price point there are ryed bourbons I like more.
spicy cinnamon nose apples. caramel butter
I liked it a lot but you gotta like rye!
