Jura 1988 Rare Vintage Bottling Note Single malt from the Jura distillery on the eponymous island, released as part of the Rare Vintage series. This one is a 1988 vintage, bottled in 2018 following a finishing period in tawny Port casks. 1,406 bottles were produced. Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt Nose: Jammy dark fruits and earthy malt, with a good whack of thyme honey. Palate: Still packed full of raspberry and strawberry, though now with roasted coffee beans to help balance and give it a subtle smokiness. Finish: Mature oak warmth, bolstered by black pepper and stewed berries
