Kinsip Dark Waters Rum may have won me over with their label alone. How did they know that I can't resist an art deco inspired design? Their luxe heavy bottom bottle and nautical motif is certainly a compliment to their varied spirit collection. Dark Waters Rum has an alluring, rich nose: Malted caramel with top notes of maple syrup and oak. To me, this drinks like a rye whisky. It has a familiar spicy rush with hints of brown sugar and cherry. While it isn't overly complex, it's smooth, full bodied and has a comforting breath of baking spices. Medium finish with the slightest stickiness like you've just licked a candy apple. 8.25/10
