Kirkland Bourbon Casked Rum finished in Cognac Casks

Nose: deep brown sugar, butterscotch, tropical fruits, the lightest hint of ripe banana, baking spices. Palate: dark sugar, molasses, tropical fruity notes, slight herbal notes with spices on the finish, bourbon cask finish not strongly present. Is it good neat? Ok. But where it shines is as a cocktail rum, particularly an old fashioned.

Notes of brown sugar, vanilla, barrel spices, molasses, honey and a hint of tobacco. Pretty ok rum on ice, better as a mixer.
