A dark sweetness on the nose like molasses with dark cherry and vanilla with a campfire from the charred oak. On the palette you can taste the 120 proof but fades quickly to carnival flavors of candy apple, cherry, and a buttery kettle corn. Smokey finish lingers nicely. Can’t wait to pair with a cigar. Good pick
These knob creek single store picks are incredible. They are very rich with heavy dark cherry notes and tobacco. There is a lot more on it with the 120 proof but surely doesn’t drink like it. I stopped drinking it just to try others and back to it a few months ago. Soo damn good, 92/100
A lot of the higher proof bourbons I’m just still not accustomed too. This one though is different, it doesn’t give me that kick. It’s smooth. I’m not good at picking out notes, but I definitely get the caramel after taste
Fantastic nose. I get candy corn, oak, and leather. Palate starts spicy. Cinnamon fades to cocoa powder. I do not get the usual Beam peanut flavor. Fairly hot.
Strong initial alcohol taste followed by a smooth peanut butter and oak. 120 proof Very similar to Bookers without the cost.
