Knockmore Irish Whiskey was created by Southwest Spirits & Wine, which itself is the result of a merger between Southwest Distillery and Prairie Creek Beverages. Released in early 2017, it is a blending of aged single malts with 8-10 year grain and malt whiskeys.

A creamy, blended whiskey aged for 8 - 10 years in flame-charred bourbon casks in Ireland’s County Mayo. It has a delicate birth with notes of vanilla & spice; while an easy life adds notes of grain, toasty oak & smoke; that leads to a long & rich finish with notes of vanilla. Aroma --- Wheat Bread and butter, Fruits, Apple, Fresh cut grass, slight honey. Taste --- Molasses, Fruit, Pear. Finish --- Smoothness, Alcohol, Warming. 80 proof This is a warming drink that is great as a mixer or possibly even a standalone.
The nose on this one is sweet, reminiscent of honey, and slightly medicinal, giving off a alcohol vapors. The palate is almost like a bourbon with a ton of sweetness, and flavors of oak, honey, and molasses. Not bad at all.
Not good but not bad. Not much on the nose just a bit fruity in my opinion with little hints of spice. Apple, vanilla and spice on pallet with a alcohol warming on the finish.
Whiskey has more depth than other Irish Whiskey's. Definitely get some cereal and fruit tones. Aging in bourbon barrels adds to the stronger finish.
Another excellent Irish whiskey, similar to The Quiet Man.
