Never had a gin like this, it’s quite literally a burst of mandarin flavor which mellows out quite nicely. Juniper and botanical notes are more subtle. This is a good gin for vodka lovers
About this bottle
Kagoshima, Japan—home to the Komasa Gin distillery—is known for Sakurajima komikan, a tiny local varietal of mandarin orange. Named after the nearby active volcano and grown in its mineral-rich soils, the fruit is prized for its fragrant, sweet character. It’s the star ingredient in this gin, supported by juniper, coriander, and other aromatic botanicals that highlight its bright citrus profile.

The fragrance of tangerine and orange filled my nose. Tasted so good. Slightly sweet but balanced with juniper and spice. I only had a small sample but I would buy a bottle.
Smooth, nice citrus notes. Not at all overpowering. Goes well with cranberry juice and I will definitely be buying more!
Smooth. Fruity. Makes the perfect martini.
