About this bottle
The Master Edition, so named because it was created by Master Blender Robert Hicks, was created for the 2010 Fèis Ìle celebration. it is a blend of whiskies aged from 11-19 years; 50% from 11-year old whisky aged in bourbon hogsheads and 50% from whiskies aged 15, 17, and 19 years all in first-fill bourbon. It is bottled at 57.3% ABV.

Similar to the Laga 11 this isn't really a style for me I believe. More astringent lighter peated flavor. It is to the Laphroaig CS 10 what the Laga 11 is to the Laga 16. The former drams more tighter, astringent, slightly acidic peat versus the richer profiles of the latter which I preferred. Thanks for the chance to try Lee!
