This release from Laphroaig features its Lore core expression at cask strength. Càirdeas (Gaelic for "friendship") is the brand's annual release for the Friends of Laphroaig (FoL) community. This single malt bottling is made from a marriage of five different casks and it was bottled without chill-filtration at 59.6% ABV. It was first made available to attendees of the 2025 Fèis Ìle and FoL and is now available globally with the US getting its allotment in July 2025. (SRP $110)

Nose had some fruit and smoke. A bit zesty and a little restrained. Taste was the fruit and smoke again, clove and cinnamon come through. Slight caramel sweetness. The finish was peppery with oak and clove, almost a leathery finish that's a bit sweet.
Ive never had Lore so hard to compare. This is peaty and smoky. Most similar to the standard out of the 23–25 cardias
Not as proofy as it should be. Very very good. Sweet and rich and deep. Maybe worth a second bottle.
