About this bottle
This limited edition release is the second in Laphroaig's The Elements series which celebrates innovation and creativity in whisky making. Here, Laphroaig experiments with the fermentation time. This single malt was created from a number of longer fermentations ranging up to 115 hours — more than double the standard time to showcase its impact on flavor. Bottled without chill-filtration at 59.6% ABV, US availability begins July 2024. (SRP $165/700ml)

Laphroaig experimented with a new, longer fermentation process (almost tripled the normal time) and created a super whiskey of effervescent and smooth cask strength with those maritime smoky and fruity flavors and waves of honey. You'll never guess its 119 abv. More distilleries should take note...
This is Amazing! You definitely get that it’s a Laphroaig with the salinity and peat but it’s subdued and fruit covered in toffee sweetness is almost an equal player.
Won the blind side by side with elements 1. Very creamy, flavors of lactose and bright floral
