An intense, whisky from the Toberymory distillery, released under their Ledaig name. This was distilled back in May 2001 and set aside to mature in a single refill hogshead for 15 years, until March 2017. That's when Douglas Laing bottled it for their Old Particular range, with an outturn of 355 bottles. It has an aromatic birth with notes of peat smoke & creamy vanilla; while a bold life adds notes of smoke & caramel; that led to a long, salty & slightly fiery death.
