A well-peated single malt from the Tobermory distillery, released under the Ledaig name & independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. This was aged for 18 years before being bottled & features the somewhat-miffed personification of Ledaig on its way to Islay - presumably to put that hammer to use... Batch 3 is a release of 921 bottles. It has an aromatic birth with notes of toasted rye bread, steak with peppercorn sauce, touches of dried earth, a subtle floral hint of hibiscus petals & apple cores; while a balanced life adds notes of earthy smoky peat, Cherry Bakewell, dried oak & Maltesers; that led to a long death with notes of rye, well-aged brandy, crumbly Biscotti & black tea. Dramfest '18. Still the Ledaig flavour I don't like. Solid 3. Much preferred the official bottling Masarla finish.

Smells and tastes like a drunk, dead, bloated, waterlogged corpse of a Scottish sailor. Smooth finish though.
