Ledaig 2008 Amarone Cask Finish

Nose: Dry spice cupboard, sweet smoke. Corn tortilla chips. Palate: Loads of hot honey sweetness. A dose of sea salt. Finish: Charcoal smoke and black pepper linger. A red apple sweetness appears much later. A little bit of water brings out more of the fruit and dials down the pepper heat which makes it more enjoyable in my opinion.

While not the barnyard funk of the 13-Amontillado, this has a nice amount of funk but with a slightly sweeter and easier feeling. So good.

It's good without being particularly good at anything. Kinda muddled
