This collaboration between Boulevard Brewing Co. and the J. Rieger Co. is an attempt to create a distinctively KC spirit. J. Rieger takes beer that Boulevard deems "left for dead" (that is, didn't make the cut) and distills it. Batch #1 is made from the Unfiltered Wheat and, according to Andy Rieger himself, isn't meant to be rated or reviewed...just savored for what it is.

Pretty fantastic... The wheat beer used in the base harken to a solid German schnapps in punch and mouth feel. Hard to pinpoint a flavor profile... malty? subtle hops? Definite fruitiness, though
