My second review stemming from my visit to the Litchfield Distillery this afternoon. Tasted this Straight Bourbon at the distillery, and also brought back a small bottle to have in the comfort of my (parents') home. This bourbon is aged, "At least 4 years"... Color: Light golden amber Nose: A much more classic bourbon nose with subtle vanilla, allspice and some corn coming through. Palate: Youthful grain flavors with a tongue tingle and very little chest hug. Mildly sweet and spicy with oak char. Finish: Short with a customary lingering spiciness and woodiness. This is not my favorite of the handful of whiskeys I sampled today at the distillery, but it is decent bourbon that I would drink again.

Better than I expected. Vanilla oak up front that mellows. No smoke but taste the wood. For the proof there's a lot of sweetness but not much depth after that as the thinness washes away without much flavor. Bulleit mixed with Maker's profile of sweetness. Quick finish.
A little harsh for me, but not bad overall. I picked it up as my family is from Connecticut, otherwise I’m not sure I would have grabbed this one. Ultimately, I’m happy to have this as part of the collection.
Green banana and orange rind. Palate totally shifts to raw dough and muddled apricot skins. Young notes. Mellow. Sparks of vanilla and warming hard candy finish it off.
The first bottle of this was excellent, similar to Makers. My second, less so - much harsher, burn. Inconsistent.
Silky smooth. Not at all harsh. Sweet aftertaste. Beware, proof is 100.
