Loch Lomond 21 Year

Nose: intriguing, intense plums but also juicy peaches and a bunch of violets, slightly peaty, a burning embers. Excellent nose. Palate: always light peaty, gentle and pleasant, I honestly didn't think I would find it. Reminds me of Kilchoman. Then a triumph of plums and cherries, wrapped in honey. And brackish sweet. Again excellent. Medium-long finish, peaty and smoky, which leaves a pleasant brackish in the mouth. In the final finish a bitter hint is not excellent. What can I say, I must tell the truth: I never expected it, a truly excellent whisky! Without the bitter tip in the final he would have taken full points. 4.50 rating _________________________________________________ Naso: intrigante, prugne intense ma anche pesche succose ed un mazzo di viole, leggermente torbato, una brace accesa. All’olfatto eccellente. Palato: sempre leggera torbatura, gentile e piacevole, onestamente non pensavo che l’avrei trovata. Mi ricorda Kilchoman. Poi trionfo di prugne e ciliegie, avvolte nel miele. E salmastro dolce. Anche qui ottimo. Finale medio lungo, torbato ed affumicato, che lascia un piacevole salmastro in bocca. Nel finale ultimo una punta amarognola non eccelsa. Che dire, devo dire la verità: non me lo sarei mai aspettato, un whisky veramente ottimo! Senza la punta amarognola nel finale avrebbe preso punteggio pieno. Voto 4,50
