Loch Lomond Peated Single Grain

A surprisingly fresh nose, apple, almost a sweetness light syrup. Very light peat on nose, no deep smokiness. On the palate apple fruitiness, no bitterness or spice, very light peat and kind of disappointing if you expected a peated dram. Not a complex finish instead short to medium, some peat at the end balanced with fruitiness that dissipate quickly with very thin sweet finish at the end. Don't buy if you want a peated Whisky I get very light peat at best However a very light everyday dram for that price.

Nose: Not much on the nose. A little whisp of smoke, some summer fruit and berries Palate: Summer fruit, vanilla, slightly floral. Light, sweet peat smoke. A little sickly. Germolene. Finish: Short. A little smoke, citrus & apple. There’s not much to this whisky. It’s very sweet, and has a little highland peat smoke. Instantly forgotten.

I get the same mouth feel of a cotton ball that was used in a pill bottle to absorb moisture. Not particularly pleasant, and not that interestingly complex. Overall, would not reach for this again.

Nose: peat smoke, cocoa, banana peel, brine, seaweed Pallet: smoke, bbq meat, charcoal, wood, bitter sherry notes, citrus, funky moss Finish: crisp, young, rich tannins, grapes and smoked wood

Nose is delicate, pear and sweet fruit. Slightly medicinal. Palate is a little disappointing. Like a good blended. Tongue slightly numb but not Ina pleasant way

I can see how this would be divisive - in particular, it has a very long finish that is even metallic. Pleasant enough by my taste, however.
