Herbal and very sweet with medium mouthfeel. Chrysanthemum, cardamom, honey, mint, and light anise, with only a slight bitter orange hint in the finish. Quite clear which makes it work in a White Negroni (like Salers, but sweeter/less bitter), but not as pleasantly balanced or bitter as a White Negroni made with Suze.

About this bottle
Luxardo Bitter Bianco is an updated version of a 1930s bitter aperitivo recipe. It is produced using a distilled infusion of herbs and spices including cardamom, rhubarb, mint, marjoram, thyme and bitter orange. Sugar is added to the distillate followed by the addition of wormwood. It is very pale yellow and has no artifical colors. Bottled at 30% ABV. Try in a White Negroni.

Very similar to campari - just white in color and a tad sweeter.
