A 26-year-old, 10th batch of That Boutique-y Whisky Company's Macallan is a rich, malty whisky, featuring a wonderful graphic-novel-style illustration of a handsome giant looking with curiosity at Macallan's Curiously Small Stills, which are actually very large. It has a malty birth with notes of toffee apples, brandy snaps, a hint of treacle. winter spice, pepper & cooked fruits; while a rich life adds notes of pear juice, hints of sweet Normandy cider, allspice, thick, biscuity malt, toasted barley & vanilla ice cream; that led to a warming death of medium length with notes of dried apricot, creamy caramel, a hint of mixed peels & spice.
