Macaloney's Caledonian Invermallie PORTUGUESE RE-CHARRED RED WINE BARRIQUE

Nose is quite different, I get a nutty note there. Very dark colour. Smooth and could be drank neat, but opens up with a little water. My issue is with the price. Same as Aberlour A'bunadh, which I'd choose over this any day.

Red berries, dried fruit, demerara sugar, oak and honey. Nice, but it needs more body and it has very little finish. Not enough distinct personality for its price range.
