A rich, Sherried Macduff single malt, independently bottled by Ian Macleod for the Chieftain's range. This was distilled in June 1991 & allowed to mature for 26 years in a single Sherry butt until June 2017, when it was bottled with an outturn of 730 bottles. It has an aromatic birth with notes of red wine gums, lemongrass, stewed plums & oily walnut; while a rich life adds notes of plum, caramel, dark coffee & thyme honey; that led to a long death with notes of oak & chocolate truffle.
