Maker's Mark Private Selection (SBS German Chocolate Cake)

This is a sweet and middle proof bourbon. On the nose is a sweetness of frosting and the bite is medium. The body has a good fluffy mocha spice with a hint of brown sugar and notes of smoke and vanilla. Its very complex and finishes strong with a 90% dark chocolate. Linda’s Fudge Cake from Cheesecake Factory comes to mind- where the chocolate chips are dark on the finish but the frosting and cake are light and sweeter. Overall, its super unique and a one-of-a-kind bottle to taste.

Super smooth throughout, but flavor develops for a long time. Strong butter and caramel sweetness up front but develops into a semisweet dark coffee and dark chocolate flavor. Gives a strong mocha / hot chocolate flavor throughout the finish with a nice creaminess. Great bourbon, nice sweetness, great and complex finish.

Nose is heavy chocolate fudge. Palate: creamy dark chocolate fudge. Reminds me of costco chocolate fudge cake. Finish is so long, just keeps going. Also get notes of coffee mocha; very creamy.
