Maker's Mark Private Selection (The Mystery Machine Rides Again Loch & K(e)y)

The nose is immediately creamy, with charred oak, vanilla, a bit of caramel, ripe fruit and some banana. It absolutely does not give away it's proof, rather comes off much gentler than you might think. It is absolutely incredible on the nose hopefully leading to an even better experience while tasting. The palate is slightly dry yet rich, starting with intense burst of baking spices followed by charred oak and vanilla that fill the mouth. Fruit, banana and burnt caramel are further in the background adding some nice nuances to explore. The stave combination is a mystery however, you get a great balance of bold flavors and some finer details to explore with each sip. Finish is medium long and spicy, leaving the mouth tingling as charred oak fades.
