Mayor Pingree 7 year cask strength

Nose: caramel, oak barrel, malt. After a Qtr of an ounce it’s mostly oak on the nose. Body: medium Palate: sweet oak, cinnamon, little back palate vanilla. Finish: nice, medium length Note: this is going to be tough. I’ve got about half an ounce to taste from don after his pick tasting. Let’s see how it goes. What I could suck out of that 1/2 ounce was good

Aroma - nutty, dry cocoa powder, dark fruits, slight hint of honey Taste - Aroma transferring over to the palate here. Lot of nutty flavors with dark fruits and caramel. Really nice balance. Getting some baking spices on the finish bring a bit more complexity. Overall - Solid but nothing to get all worked up about
