This bottling is made from 100% peated Scottish malted barley just like the flagship McCarthy's Single Malt. But it's aged for 6 years in Oregon oak, twice as long as the original expression. It's bottled at 100 proof.

Nose: berries, earth Palate: apricot, apple, peat, raspberries Finish: a tad harsh, peat smoke, fruits Definitely a step up from the standard McCarthy’s offering which is already pretty good.
Very good - getting some sweeter notes on top of a standard barley whiskey taste, maybe a bit darker - a little harsh finish but lasting flavor
