This VS has a pleasant, fruity scent, along the lines of stewed apple with cinnamon. There is a sharp alcoholic note with that but it is a VS after all. The fruitiness continues in the taste, although more fresh pear and raisin. The touch of spice remains but the ethanol is very sharp and rough. Definitely one for mixing, not sipping.

It has a 'true' aroma for Cognac, that of quality grapes. And although it lacks some depth (I'm not picking up much vanilla, or barrel spices) its taste is so smooth, I'm considering drinking it straight or on the rocks, and leaving the Ciroc VS for mixing. After all, that's what Ciroc tells you it's made for, anyway.

Sweet aromas of marmalade, medjool date, hazelnut, vanilla, and nutmeg. Full-bodied. On the palate, more notes of marmalade, date, vanilla, and hazelnut – accented by plenty of dark chocolate and cinnamon on the finish. Finishes medium-long, with some very mild heat. 3.50/5.00 – Impressive (neat)

Starts off with some light apple and grape, their is some vanilla and oak with a short, smooth milling spice finish. not the best cognac I’ve had but it’s not bad. It’s a little boring but I’d recommend this to someone want a baseline flavor of cognac/brandy for a good price.

I am a chef. This is my go-to Cognac for cooking, and sauces. The cost is low enough to use for all regular Brandy applications. No harsh notes when reduced au sec. Buy this instead of some cheap Brandy. Your taste buds will be rewarded!
