Pierde Almas Pechuga 2013 is an intense Agave Spirit released once a year by the artisan Mezcal producers, Pierde Almas NOM-O120X. Their Pechuga is crafted from Espadin agave, which is triple distilled. However, before the third distillation, the Mezcal is blended with a selection of locally grown fruits, herbs & nuts. Next, a whole turkey breast is suspended in the bell of the still for a further depth of flavor that enhances the smoky qualities of the Mezcal. April 2017
About this bottle
Pierde Almas creates their Pechuga every November by taking their Espadín mezcal to the next level with a third distillation. The most notable step is hanging a turkey breast in the still, a variation on the traditional chicken breast. Before the third distillation, the mezcal is infused with a variety of wild fruits, herbs and nuts, such as apples, pineapples, almonds, pecans, citrus blossoms and anise.
