About this bottle
The tahona isn't quite hands-on enough for Tío Rey. Rather than being crushed by a giant wheel pulled by a donkey, the roasted piñas (the sugary "hearts" of the agave) are pounded up by hand with wooden hammers! Distillation takes place in an olla de barro, an ancient type of clay pot-still hundreds, if not thousands, of years old.
